We took our fledgling company public in 2000 and in doing so, learned to play on a Wall Street level, yet still focused our attention on the details of each transaction.

Our Process

We start by clarifying your needs: selling a note? Structuring a note for sale? Buying a defaulted note?

From there, we either help you structure a “saleable” note, or give you an offer on your existing note. You’ll also submit paperwork at this time so that we can do a cursory approval, pending underwriting of full package.

We will walk you through the entire process step by step, with the end goal: both you and we get paid.

Welcome to the site and to my journey!

Some of you know that I am a Baylor educated CPA, and what you may not know is: I served my time chained to a desk practicing public accounting. In six states, no less!!

But you know, even after all that invaluable experience in real estate syndications, it didn’t take long to realize that there had to be a better way to make a living.

(Well, that, and the fact that I was told at an early age at the Accounting Firm where I worked that “I would never make partner, because I was a woman!”)

I’d like to say it was building construction that introduced me to Mortgage Notes, but the reality is that it was cute construction workers!! Yes, my start in the Note business was because I attended a note seminar to meet cute guys. What can I say??

Getting into the note business back in 1988 was fun and challenging. Sure, it wasn’t always easy, but as with anything, you only lose when you quit! And so…

I built my company buying and selling Notes on the secondary market. And we did quite well, taking it public in 2000.

And I got to teach and share that knowledge all over the country!

I guess the point is that, once you understand the basics of the note business, you are only limited to your imagination when structuring real estate deals.

It wasn’t just knowledge that allowed me to be successful, it was the application of that knowledge. And that’s what I want to share with you: the application of your knowledge!

Coming full circle, I’m now my own “partner” in my own firm, and…I still meet cute guys!
